Biography

"Yvette Jeannette Boertje hails from Dordrecht, The Netherlands, the oldest city of Holland. Her passion for writing developed throughout her teens as she found herself re-writing 21 JUMP STREET episodes in the hopes to 'improve them'.

At 17 she took over the theater company from her old high school, and larger theatrical productions quickly followed. By the age of 24 Yvette had produced and directed 13 international productions, ten of which she wrote and developed herself.

After Yvette finished University, she moved to San Diego, CA where she lived for almost five years and worked on various theater productions. It was at this time that she tried her hand at screenwriting. She wrote a number of short screenplays before working on her first feature screenplay, the historic epic THE FAIR. This script advanced to the Quarter Finals of the Page Awards Contest. After that she started work on 1600, an historic 10-part Dutch television series, while at the same time working on many other (screen)plays.
